Continental Board of Counsellors for Africa

The Continental Board of Counsellors for Africa is a body responsible for protection and propagation of the Bahá'í Faith, and appointment of Auxiliary Board members across Africa. Its membership is appointed for five year terms by the Universal House of Justice.
History[edit]
The Continental Boards were formed in 1968 for the purpose of performing the duties of the Hands of the Cause as new Hands could not be appointed.[1]
The Continental Board for Africa was formed in 1980, when the Continental Boards for Central and East Africa, Northern Africa, Southern Africa, and Western Africa were merged.[2]
