Kobina Amissah Fynn[1] is a Ghanaian Bahá’í who has served as an Auxiliary Board member and Continental Counselor for Africa.
Background[edit]
Fynn was from Ghana. In May 1984 he participated in a teaching trip across Guinea-Bissau visiting Bissau, Gabu, Bafata, Bolama, and Canchungu with fifty people declaring as a result,[2] and as of 1988 he had been appointed as an Auxiliary Board member.[3]
In the late 1980's Fynn undertook several teaching trips to São Tomé and Príncipe which resulted in a Local Spiritual Assembly being established in the capital city, Tomé, in 1988. In 1994 he made a three week visit to the country during which eighty people declared.[4][5]
In June 1993 the Universal House of Justice appointed Fynn as a Continental Counselor for Africa to fill a vacancy left by an appointment to the International Teaching Center.[6] He was appointed for successive full five year terms serving until 2005.[7]
