Dr. Selam Ahderom (b. 1970) is an Ethiopian Bahá’í who served two terms as a Continental Counselor for Africa.

Background[edit]

Ahderom was born in Ethiopia in 1970 to parents Techeste and Alasebu Ahderom.[1] He moved abroad to complete tertiary studies completing a degree in Electrical Engineering at the University of Connecticut in the United States and a PhD in Communication Engineering at Edith Cowan University in Perth, Australia.[2]

Ahderom returned to Africa after completing his studies and became a lecturer in Electrical Engineering at Makerere University in Kampala, Uganda. He was also appointed to the Continental Board of Counselors for Africa for five year terms in 2005 and 2010.[2]
