- 1940: After waiting a week in the French port of Saint-Malo, Shoghi Effendi and his companions board a boat for Southampton, England. The following day, German troops march into Saint-Malo.[1]
- 1955: The first pioneer to settle in Laos, Dr Heshmat Ta’eed, arrives in the country from Thailand.
- 1959: The first Greek woman to become a Bahá’í, Ketty Antoniou, enrols in Greece.

- 1999: Ted Cardell, English Bahá’í who was named a Knight of Bahá’u’lláh for pioneering to Namibia. Served as a National Spiritual Assembly and Auxiliary Board member.
