- 1868: Bahá’u’lláh and His companions arrive in Alexandria, Egypt, where they board a different ship. Nabíl and Fáris Effendi are imprisoned in Alexandria and have letters sent to Bahá'u'lláh after Nabíl recognizes a Bahá'í from his cell.
- 1912: 'Abdu'l-Baha speaks at Franklin Square House in Boston.
- 1968: Commemoration of the Centenary of the arrival of Bahá’u’lláh in the Holy Land begins at the World Centre.[1]

- 1952: Núri’d-Dín Fath-‘Azam, Iranian Bahá’í martyr; attacked and killed by a mob.[2]
- 1953: Ella Bailey, in Tripoli, Libya, at the age of 88. She is elevated to the rank of the martyrs.[3]
