- 1890: Edward Granville Browne departs Bahjí after five days, having been granted four successive interviews with Bahá’u’lláh.
- 1912: ‘Abdu’l-Bahá travels to Washington, D.C., staying at the home of Agnes Parsons. That evening He addresses a meeting of the Orient-Occident-Unity Conference in the public library.
- 1913: ‘Abdu’l-Bahá is the guest of the Persian minister and the Turkish ambassador in Vienna.
