In his personal life he married Marcia and they have three children.[1]

In the early 1980's Lample began serving as a staff member in the US Bahá’í communities National Treasurer's Office,[2] and by 1985 he had begun serving on the staff of the National Teaching Committee.[3] As of 1990 he had been appointed as the Special Assignments Coordinator for the National Teaching Committee,[4] and into 1991 he worked closely with the National Teaching Committee on several projects and assisted with teaching the Faith in Okeechobee, Florida.[5]
