Dr. Lori McLaughlin Noguchi is a Bahá’í currently serving on the Board of Directors of the Bahá’í International Development Organization.
Background[edit]
Noguchi completed a Bachelors Degree in physical and biological anthropology at Harvard University in 1985, a Masters degree in ecology at Nanjing University in 1988, and a PhD in natural resource management in 1991.[1] She began working for the Badi Foundation, a Bahá’í inspired non-governmental organization, in 1992 ultimately becoming President of the body.
In 2000 Noguchi was appointed as a Continental Counselor for Asia and she was appointed for additional terms in 2005 and 2010 serving until 2015. She worked for the Badi Foundation until 2018 and in 2019 the Universal House of Justice appointed her to the Board of Directors of the Bahá’í International Development Organization established that year.[1]
