• The Bahá’í community of Brazil's Office of External Affairs assists government officials in organizing a National Congress on the role of religion in the shared identity of the people of Brazil.

February

• The Bahá’í community of Kazakhstan's Office of External Affairs hosts a discussion series on the topic of promoting the well-being of society.
• The National Spiritual Assembly of Turkey establishes an emergency desk to coordinate efforts to provide aid and assistance after a major earthquake in the country.

March

The opening of the Kinshasa House of Worship.

• An arts and discussion evening is held at the Wilmette House of Worship in Illinois, USA, to commemorate Black History Month.
• The Bahá’í Chair for World Peace in Maryland, USA, commemorates its thirtieth anniversary.
• The official website of the Bahá’í Faith adds a section on the Bahá’í calendar.
• The National House of Worship of the Democratic Republic of the Congo is officially opened in Kinshasa.

• The Mayor of Athens, Georgia, USA, declares World Peace Week in their jurisdiction to honor the thirtieth anniversary of the Bahá’í Chair for World Peace.
• April 21 - May 2: The Thirteenth International Convention is held in the Holy Land. For the first time a tie-breaker vote is held in the election of the Universal House of Justice.

• The Bahá’í International Community launches the #OurStoryIsOne campaign to honor women executed by the government of Iran in the struggle for gender equality.
• The Universal House of Justice announces plans to establish three Bahá’í Houses of Worship for:
  • Kanchanpur, Nepal
  • Mwinilunga, Zambia
  • Canada
• The Bahá’í community of Italy hosts a discussion forum on the role of media in fostering social harmony in Rome.

• The Bahá’í publishing company George Ronald celebrates its 80th Anniversary.
• Work to construct the roof trellis of the Shrine of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá begins.

August

• The Bahá’í World News Service launches a video section on its website for short videos, documentaries, video podcasts, and other videos.
• The concrete structure of the Shrine of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá is completed.

September

• The Bahá’í Chair for Studies in Development at Devi Ahilya University, Indore, India launches a discussion series titled Building a More Caring World: Implications for the Family, the Community, and the Market.
• The Bahá’í World News Service website launches a Persian language website.
• A gathering is held at the Bahá’í House of Worship in Santiago, Chile, attended by government officials including the Minister Secretary-General of the Chilean Presidency and members of Chile's National Office of Religious Affairs. The relationship between service and social progress and its relevance to the House of Worship are discussed.

October

• The Brussels office of the Bahá’í International Community, the Deputy and Vice Mayor of Stockholm, and the Swedish Bahá’í Office of External Affairs, jointly organize a seminar on racial injustice in Europe.

November

• An interfaith gathering including chiefs and nearby residents is held to commemorate the Second Anniversary of the Dedication of the Tanna House of Worship in Vanuatu.

December

• The Centenary of the Bahá’í Faith in Brazil is commemorated during a session of the Chamber of Deputies of the National Congress of Brazil.
• The completed concrete trellis for the Shrine of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá is revealed with supporting formwork being removed.
• The Bahá’í inspired Banani International School in Zambia commemorates its 30th Anniversary.
• The Centenary of the establishment of the National Spiritual Assembly of the United Kingdom is commemorated in Westminster.
