• The Universal House of Justice announces that The Bahá’í World is to resume publication as a print volume.
• The Bahá’í Chair for Studies in Development at Devi Ahilya University in Indore, India, organizes a symposium on how economic structures can be changed to better reflect interdependence and cooperation.
• Nations participating in the United Nations Human Rights Councils Universal Periodic Review of human rights in Iran raise concern over the mistreatment of Bahá’ís in the country.
• The Bahá’í World News Service launches an Arabic language website.

February

• The Bahá’í Office of External Affairs of Chile publishes the document Social Transformation: Building a New Vision Together which synthesizes ideas from discussions held by the Office for academics, civil society organizations, government representatives and community leaders over several years.

March

• A gathering to celebrate Ayyám-i-Há is held near the Shrine of Bahá’u’lláh which is attnded by seventy-five people including several local officials and members of the Jewish, Muslim, Christian, Druze, and irreligious communities in the Holy Land.
• David Rutstein delivers a talk representing the Faith at the Second International Dialogue of Civilizations and Tolerance Conference held in Abu Dhabi.

April

• The Universal House of Justice announces that a National Mashriqu’l-Adhkár for the Philippines is to be constructed in Manila.
• Installation of marble in the central plaza of the Shrine of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá begins.
• The Bahá’í World News Service website launches a major redesign celebrating its twenty-fifth anniversary.

May

• The UK Bahá’í Office of Public Affairs facilitates discussions at a Youth Interfaith Summit held in London.
• The Centenary of the construction of 10 Haparsim Street is celebrated in the Holy Land with one hundred and forty people, including residents of neighbouring properties, civil society representatives, local religious leaders and government officials, and artists, attending a gathering at the property.
• The Bahá’í Chair for World Peace at the University of Maryland co-organizes a conference on combating racism.

June

• The Bahá’í World News Service launches a Chinese language website.
• The National Spiritual Assembly of Malaysia hosts a conference of traditional village chiefs from Orang Asli villages in Kuala Lumpur at which the reconceptualization of leadership and fostering community development is discussed.

July

• The Bahá’í Office of External Affairs of Italy launches the podcast Intessere to facilitate discussions on themes relevant to the development of society.

August

• An arts festival is held at the Bahá’í House of Worship in Hofheim-Langenhain, Germany, attended by over 1,500 people.

September

• Landscaping is completed at Mazra'ih with paths, orchards, and vistas being constructed in its vicinity.
• The United Nations Secretary-General notes the persecution of Bahá’ís in Iran in a global report on intolerance and violence based on religion or belief.
• The Bahá’í Office of Public Affairs of the United States hosts a symposium for scholars and representatives of civil society organizations, faith communities, and government agencies to discuss narratives in American societal development. It is intended to be the launch of an ongoing project focusing on developing racial unity.

October

• The Bahá’í Office of Public Affairs of Ethiopia launches the podcast Youth Discourse which focuses on themes of identity and purpose inspired by the principles of the Bahá’í Faith.
• Over 13,000 people attend the Terraces by Night event at the Shrine of the Báb.
• Secretary‑General of the Bahá’í International Community David Rutstein speaks at the plenary session of the 8th Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions in Astana, Kazakhstan.
• Five hundred youth from twenty-two Eastern European countries attend a Bahá’í Youth Conference in Bucharest, Romania.

November

• A delegation from the Bahá’í International Community attends the Second World Summit for Social Development held in Doha, Qatar.
• The United Nations General Assembly condemns the Iranian government's human rights record noting its persecution of Bahá’ís.

December

• The Universal House of Justice announces that the city of Haifa has agreed to transfer ownership of the Templar house on the lower slopes of Mount Carmel, a property Bahá’u’lláh briefly stayed in during the summer of 1891, to the Bahá’í World Centre.

• January 25: Rouhullah Mehrabkhani, author and scholar.
• February 17: Peter McLaren, American pioneer to Venezuela where he served as a National Spiritual Assembly and Auxiliary Board member and also as a Continental Counsellor.
• November 12: Iraj Ayman, Persian Bahá’í who served on the National Spiritual Assembly of Iran and as a Continental Counsellor.
