  • The Universal House of Justice announces that The Bahá’í World is to resume publication as a print volume.[1]
  • The Bahá’í Chair for Studies in Development at Devi Ahilya University in Indore, India, organizes a symposium on how economic structures can be changed to better reflect interdependence and cooperation.[2]
  • Nations participating in the United Nations Human Rights Councils Universal Periodic Review of human rights in Iran raise concern over the mistreatment of Bahá’ís in the country.[3]
  • The Bahá’í World News Service launches an Arabic language website.[4]

  • The Bahá’í Office of External Affairs of Chile publishes the document Social Transformation: Building a New Vision Together which synthesizes ideas from discussions held by the Office for academics, civil society organizations, government representatives and community leaders over several years.[5]

  • A gathering to celebrate Ayyám-i-Há is held near the Shrine of Bahá’u’lláh which is attnded by seventy-five people including several local officials and members of the Jewish, Muslim, Christian, Druze, and irreligious communities in the Holy Land.[6]
  • David Rutstein delivers a talk representing the Faith at the Second International Dialogue of Civilizations and Tolerance Conference held in Abu Dhabi.[7]

  • The Universal House of Justice announces that a National Mashriqu’l-Adhkár for the Philippines is to be constructed in Manila.[8]
  • Installation of marble in the central plaza of the Shrine of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá begins.[9]
  • The Bahá’í World News Service website launches a major redesign celebrating its twenty-fifth anniversary.[10]

  • The UK Bahá’í Office of Public Affairs facilitates discussions at a Youth Interfaith Summit held in London.[11]
  • The Centenary of the construction of 10 Haparsim Street is celebrated in the Holy Land with one hundred and forty people, including residents of neighbouring properties, civil society representatives, local religious leaders and government officials, and artists, attending a gathering at the property.[12]
  • The Bahá’í Chair for World Peace at the University of Maryland co-organizes a conference on combating racism.[13]

  • The National Spiritual Assembly of Malaysia hosts a conference of traditional village chiefs from Orang Asli villages in Kuala Lumpur at which the reconceptualization of leadership and fostering community development is discussed.[15]

  • The Bahá’í Office of External Affairs of Italy launches the podcast Intessere to facilitate discussions on themes relevant to the development of society.[16]

  • January 25: Rouhullah Mehrabkhani, author and scholar.[17]
  • February 17: Peter McLaren, American pioneer to Venezuela where he served as a National Spiritual Assembly and Auxiliary Board member and also as a Continental Counsellor.
