Continental Board of Counsellors for Europe

The Continental Board of Counsellors for Europe is a body responsible for protection and propagation of the Bahá'í Faith in Europe, and appointing members to Auxiliary Boards across Europe. Its membership is appointed by the Universal House of Justice for five year terms.
History[edit]
The Continental Board of Europe was one of eleven Boards formed in 1968 for the purpose of fulfilling the functions of the Hands of the Cause indefinitely, as no new Hands could be appointed. Counsellors appointed to the Board did not have defined terms of service until 1980, when the Universal House of Justice began appointing Counsellors for five year terms.[1]
