Help:Infobox

The infobox comes in several forms depending on the information to be displayed. Some of the possibilities are listed below with a selection of possible parameters. (Some parameters do not get displayed as expected. It is still a mystery to me as to when they are displayed. So, play with the parameters to refine your infobox.)

Notes:

• In some cases the a name for the infobox is pulled from the Pagename. Therefore, the examples will not display correct or complete maps in the examples when locator is specified as "yes". (This error appears in some of the examples.)
• The infobox is often displayed in the upper right corner of the page. But, it may be displayed on the right hand side of the page starting at the place where it is specified.
• If parameters are not used they may generally be left out.
• The parameters listed are those that I found used in each infobox type. There are likely additional parameters available that I did not find. You may find a useful parameter in an alternate infobox description.

City Infobox

The City Infobox provides information about a city. A selection of parameters are provided below.

Identification Parameters:

• native_name is the local name or native language name for the city.
• country_name is the name of the country in which the city is located.
• name is the name of the city.
• state is the name of the US State or region of the country where the city is located.

Image Parameters:

• image is an image from BahaiMedia associated with the city.
• image_Caption is the caption for the image.
• image_size is the desired width of the image.

Location Map Parameters: (3 parameters required to accurately display a map)

• locator is specified as “yes” to display a map otherwise blank.
• latitude is the latitude of the city center.
• longitude is the longitude of the city.

Contact Parameters:

• email is the email address for the Bahá’í community.
• phone is the phone number for the Bahá’í community.
• fax is the fax number for the community.
• address is the physical address of the community.
• official_site is the web address for the community (i.e. https://www.sandiegobahai.org/).

Statistical Parameters:

• population_bahai is the Bahá’í sourced Bahá’í population.
• population_nonbahai is the estimated Bahá’í population from a non-Bahá’í source.

The US State Infobox provides information about a United States State. A selection of possible parameters is provided below.

Is similar to "US State Infobox" with the following heading. Other countries are also divided into sub-regions. The header for the Canadian Province Infobox is:

The Country infobox is used to create an Infobox for a country. The page name is used as the name of the country to be displayed if "locator = yes" is specified. A list of countries with a Bahaipedia page are listed at .

General Parameters:

• country_name is the name of the country (default is the "Pagename") to be displayed at the top of the infobox. This will usually also retrieve a small image of the national flag.

Image Parameters:

• image is the filename.filetype of an image to be displayed in the infobox.
• img_caption is the caption to be displayed below the image.

Locator Map Parameters:

• locator is set to "yes" to display the country on a map. The "Pagename" determines the country to be displayed on the map.
• locator_zoom is the magnification factor for the locator display.
• locator_vscroll is an adjustment (+/-) to the vertical position of the map in the display.
• locator_hscroll is an adjustment (+/-) to the horizontal position of the map in the display.

Bahá'í Parameters:

• national_office is the location of the national Bahá'í office.
• national_assembly specifies the Bahá'í National Assembly which is responsible for the country.
• leader_title1 is the title of the first leader or National Assembly member (e.g. "Chairman" or "Treasurer") or " ".
• leader_name1 is the name of the first leader or National Assembly member.
• ...
• leader_title9 is the title of the 9th leader or National Assembly member.
• leader_name9 is the name of the 9th leader or National Assembly member.
• clusters is a list of clusters associated with the country.

Statistical Parameters:

• population_bahai is the Bahá'í population from a Bahá'í source. It should generally have a date and source associated with it.
• population_nonbahai is the Bahá'í population from a non-Bahá'í source. It should generally have a date and source associated with it.
• 'local_assemblies is the number of Local Spiritual Assemblies in the country.

Firsts Parameters:

• first_bahai is the first Bahá'í known to have visited the country.
• first_local_believer is the first native Bahá'í enrolled in the country.
• first_pioneers is a list of the first Bahá'ís to have moved to the country.
• first_local_assembly is the first Local Spiritual Assembly formed in the country.
• first_national_assembly is the year the National Spiritual Assembly was formed.
• first_national_convention is the year the first National Bahá'í Convention was held.

Contact Parameters:

• phone is the contact phone number for the National Bahá'í office.
• fax is the fax number for the National Bahá'í office.
• email is the email address for the National Bahá'í office.
• address is the mailing address for the National Bahá'í office.

Website Parameters:

• official_site is the official Bahá'í website for the country.

General Information Parameters:

• atlas if set to "yes" will display a link to an atlas with a list of countries that can be located and a related page list of other Bahaipedia websites that link to this site.

Notes:

• Care should be taken in using some parameters such as the leaders or National Assembly members as they will need to be maintained. This example may be out of date.
• In the Bahá'í Information section both the leader_titlex and Leader_namex seem be required and " " is required if there is no title.

• other_names is a list of nicknames or other names the person is known by.

• title is a title or list of titles for the person.
• appointedby is the name of the person or institution assigning the title.
• known_for is what the person is known for.
• occupation is the occupation(s) of the person.
• nationality is the nationality of the person.
• nsa_member is the NSA name and years of service.
• ibc_member is the years serving on the International Bahá'í Council first appointed by Shoghi Effendi in 1951..
• custodian is the years serving as one of the nine Custodians who were elected to serve at the World Centre following the passing of the Guardian in 1957.

Relationship Parameters:

• spouse is a list of wives or husbands of the person.
• children is a list of the children of the person.
• parents is the two parents of the person. (May include other significant parental figures.)

Signature Parameters:

• signature is the filename.filetype of the signature file of the person from BahaiMedia.
• signature_alt is the textual name of of the signature.

• pub_year is the year the book or edition was first published.
• pages is the number of pages.
• isbn is the 13 digit International Standard Book Number of the book.
• isbn2 is an alternate 10 digit isbn number used for the book used before the isbn number was expanded.
• oclc is the Online Computer Library Center code for the book.
