- January 20: The Congo Republic issues a postage stamp commemorating World Religion Day.[1]
- February 3: A golden tile from the roof of the Shrine of the Báb is donated to the Dutch Roof Tile Museum by the National Spiritual Assembly of the Netherlands.[2]
- March 21: The Bahá’í community of Vietnam is officially registered with the government as a religious community operating nationwide.
- April 7: A monument commemorating ‘Abdu’l-Bahá's visit to the German town Bad Mergntheim originally erected in 1916 which was removed by the Nazi regime is re-erected.[3]
- April 19: The Bahá’í community of Slovakia receives official recognition from the government granting it the right to own property, observe holy days, disseminate literature and other activities.[4]
- April 30: A panel discussion on The Ethical Dimension of Climate Change organized by the Bahá’í International Community is held as part of the UN Commission on Sustainable Development.[5]
- June 23 - 29: A Bahá’í Arts and Music Festival is held in Cyprus.[6]
- July: The Bahá’í community of Vietnam receives a certificate of operation from the governmental Committee for Religious Affairs.
