- The National Teaching Institute in Bukit Baru, Malacca is officially opened.
- March 16: Duluth, Minnesota, becomes the first School district in the United States to grant permission for Bahá’ís to observe Holy Days without a pay penalty or compensatory time.[1]
- March 22: St. Lawrence Island, Alaska, is opened to the Faith by a pioneer, it is the last virgin goal for Alaska under the Nine Year Plan.[2]
- March 23: Fiftieth Anniversary of the Revelation of the first Tablets of the Divine Plan.[3]
- September 3: The National Spiritual Assembly of Bolivia meets with the President of Bolivia, General Rene Barrientos Ortuno, presenting principal points about the Bahá’í Faith and requesting to collaborate on teaching and alphabetization programs for indigenous Bolivian Bahá’ís.[4]
- November 12: The National Spiritual Assembly of Italy appoints an Aid to Flood Victims Committee which coordinated fundraising efforts for victims of flood damage mostly in Florence.[5]

- April 7: Ali Kuli Khan, produced some of the earliest English translations of Bahá’í scripture and served on the Bahá’í Temple Unity and the National Spiritual Assembly of U.S. and Canada.
- April 14: Jessie Revell, served on the International Bahá’í Council.
- April 15: Francisco Pimienta Arpushana, early Colombian Bahá’í and leader of the Guajiro Arpushana clan. Considered a martyr.
- June 4: Willard McKay, travel teacher who taught with Louis Gregory in 1931.
- August 29: Marcia Steward de Matamores, Knight of Bahá’u’lláh named for pioneering to the Marshall Islands.
- September 17: Anne Lynch, served at the International Bahá’í Bureau in Switzerland from 1928 to 1957.[47]
- October 19: Malcolm King, Knight of Bahá’u’lláh named for pioneering to British Guiana.
- October 27: Loulie Mathews, traveled extensively visiting to teach across Africa, Latin America, and the Pacific and donated land for a Bahá’í school in Pine Valley, Colorado Springs.[48]
