Evelyn Musacchia
Evelyn Musacchia (b. 1927)[1] is an American Bahá’í who served on the National Spiritual Assembly of Hawaii.
Biography[edit]
Musacchia was raised in Pasadena, California, in the 1930's. She became a therapist in her professional career and moved to Hawaii in 1957 to work at the Easter's Seals Treatment Center serving at the Center until 1977. She discovered the Bahá’í Faith in Hawaii and joined the religion.[2]
In 1964 the independent National Spiritual Assembly of Hawaii was established and Musacchia was elected to the body as its first recording secretary and served as a member until 1968.[3][4][5] In 1974 she was appointed a member of the Advisory Council of the Hawaii State Board of Education.[6] She moved to Israel in 1977 to serve at the Bahá’í world Center and she served until 1984 then moved to California.[2]
In the early 2010's Musacchia retired and returned to Hawaii settling in Papa'aloa where she pursued art painting rocks.[2] As of 2024 she is still actively participating in Bahá’í community life and was able to virtually attend the 2024 Bahá’í National Convention of Hawaii.[1]
