- 1957: The first conclave of the Hands of the Cause of God is convened at Bahjí; this is the first meeting of the Hands of the Cause as a group. A memorial meeting for Shoghi Effendi is held in the Haram-i-Aqdas, coinciding with more gatherings around the world by request of Ruhiyyih Khanum.
- 1960: Clara Dunn, Hand of the Cause of God, dies in Sydney, Australia.
