The World Order of Bahá’u’lláh (compilation)

The World Order of Bahá’u’lláh is a collection of letters and messages from Shoghi Effendi, the Guardian of the Bahá’í Faith, first published in 1938. The letters it compiles establish a clear vision of the relation between the Bahá’í community and the process of social evolution under the dispensation of Bahá’u’lláh, establishing the Administrative Order as the nucleus and pattern of the world civilization emerging.
It compiles seven major letters:
- The World Order of Bahá’u’lláh written in February, 1929.
- The World Order of Bahá’u’lláh: Further Considerations written in March, 1930.
- The Goal of a New World Order written in November, 1931.
- The Golden Age of the Cause of Bahá’u’lláh written in March, 1932.
- America and the Most Great Peace written in April, 1933.
- The Dispensation of Bahá’u’lláh written in February, 1934.
- The Unfoldment of World Civilization written in March 1936.
It was published with an introduction written by Horace Holley, a Hand of the Cause, an excerpt:
In light of the existing international chaos, they reveal the most significant Truth of this era, namely that the old conception of religion, which separated spirituality from the fundamental functions of civilization, compelling men to abide by conflicting principles of faith, of politics and of economics, has been forever destroyed.
The first edition of the compilation was published in 1938, and a revised edition was published in 1955.[1]
