The Dispensation of Bahá’u’lláh is a 1934 letter written by Shoghi Effendi. It was published in the compilation The World Order of Bahá’u’lláh.
Consisting of sixty pages the purpose of the letter was to explain the stations of the Báb, Bahá’u’lláh, and ‘Abdu’l-Bahá to the Bahá’í community and also to describe the conception of Bahá’í governance for society.[1] Rúḥíyyih Khánum notes that Shoghi Effendi regarded the letter as the most important of his writings,[2] and Alí Nakhjavání has stated that he informed several pilgrims and Hands of the Cause that they could consider the document his Will and Testament.[3] Rúḥíyyih Khánum also notes the letter clarifies that Shoghi Effendi and the Guardianship were distinct from ‘Abdu’l-Bahá.[4]
