  • 1954: The first people to become Bahá’ís in Bechuanaland (Lesotho), Chadwick and ‘Maselai (Mary) Mohapi, enrol.
  • 1957: Shoghi Effendi announces ‘the complete evacuation of the remnant of Covenant-breakers and the transfer of all their belongings from the precincts of the Most Holy Shrine’.
  • 2016: The Bahá’í International Community calls on Iranian President Hassan Rouhani to end the severe economic oppression imposed on the Bahá’ís in Iran.
