- 1912: ‘Abdu’l-Bahá speaks in Cincinatti's Grand Hotel. At noon, He leaves for Washington D.C., where He speaks at the Universalist Church in the afternoon.
- 1914: Agnes Alexander (pictured) arrives in Japan.
- 1919: John Esslemont meets ‘Abdu’l-Bahá for the first time. Due to poor health, he is unable to attend many of His talks.
