  • 1845: The Times of London carries an item on the arrest and torture of Quddús, Mullá Sádiq-i-Khurásání, Mullá `Alí-Akbar-i-Ardistání and Mullá Abú-Tálib in Shíráz in June. This is the first known printed reference to the Revelation.
  • 1861: Hand of the Cause of God Corinne True is born.
  • 1871: Lua Getsinger, Disciple of `Abdu'l-Bahá, Herald of the Covenant and Mother Teacher of the West (pictured), is born.
  • 1958: The monument marking Shoghi Effendi’s resting place is completed. Dust from the Shrine of Bahá’u’lláh is placed in the foundations.
  • 2008: The first of 41 Regional Conferences, which are held over a four month period to mark the mid-point of the Five Year Plan, is held in Lusaka, Zambia.
