  • 1829: Nabíl-i-Akbar (pictured), Apostle of Bahá’u’lláh, is born near Bírjand, Persia.
  • 1849: The Battle of Fort Ṭabarsí is mentioned in the Journal de Constantinople; it is among the first direct mentions of the Báb in the contemporary press.
  • 1888: Edward Granville Browne gives a talk on 'Bábism' at the Essay Society in Newcastle, England.
  • 1942: Louise and Joseph Sawyer host a reception for Ruth Moffett and Esther Sego, the first racially integrated meeting among the Bahá'ís of North Carolina.
  • 2006: Death of Ruth Katharine Meyer, Knight of Bahá’u’lláh, named for pioneering to Margarita Island.
