Bahá’í Computer and Communications Association

The Bahá’í Computer and Communications Association (BCCA) was a former international grassroots organization operating under the guidance of the Bahá’í Internet Agency. Its mandate was to help individual Baha’is as well as local, regional, national and international Baha’i institutions effectively utilize communication and computer technology in the exercise of their functions and in the discharge of their responsibilities. While much of the focus of this aid was directed toward the use of the Internet, it also encompassed other technologies such as telephony, radio and TV transmission (both professional and amateur) and other forms of wireless communication. The mandate was fulfilled by supporting and in some cases hosting web sites and Bahá’í projects, by supporting individual initiatives, mentoring youth, organizing online service projects, and serving as a source of technical advice.[1]
While it was active, the BCCA hosted email and websites for a number of Bahá’í communities around the world on its main server, bci.org. The site was offline as of 2016[2].
