1915 was a common year of the Gregorian calendar and a common year of the Julian calendar, the 1915th year of the Common Era (CE), the 15th year of the 20th century, and the 6th year of the 1910s decade. As of the start of 1915, the Gregorian calendar was 13 days ahead of the Julian calendar, which remained in localized use until 1923. 1915 corresponds to the years 71–72 of the Bahá'í Era (BE) according to the Badi calendar.

Events[edit]

  • January: Lua Getsinger visits the Holy Land for the last time. ‘Abdu’l-Bahá sends her to Egypt, Europe, and America as the Bahá'ís there had not been able to correspond with Him due to WWI.
  • April 19-25: The Panama-Pacific International Exposition is held in San Francisco with the 25th being declared International Bahá'í Congress Day.
  • May: The Bahá'ís in the Holy Land return to Haifa and 'Akka from Abu-Sinan.
  • June 16: Margaret Green becomes the first Bahá'í pioneer to Alaska.
  • August: Shoghi Effendi returns to Haifa from the Syrian Protestant College in Beirut where he had been studying.
  • September: Lua Getsinger arrives in Port Said, Egypt. She plans to depart for America but falls ill.
  • October: Shoghi Effendi returns to Beirut to resume his studies.
  • Late: Memorials of the Faithful begins to take shape, with ‘Abdu’l-Bahá telling stories of notable Bahá'ís at weekly Bahá'í gatherings which were later to be compiled.
