1918 was a common year of the Gregorian calendar and a common year of the Julian calendar, the 1918th year of the Common Era (CE), the 18th year of the 20th century, and the 9th year of the 1910s decade. As of the start of 1918, the Gregorian calendar was 13 days ahead of the Julian calendar, which remained in localized use until 1923. 1918 corresponds to the years 74–75 of the Bahá'í Era (BE) according to the Badi calendar.

- January: The British Bahá'í community sends letters to the Foreign Office requesting that the safety of 'Abdu'l-Bahá be secured.
- January 8: American President Woodrow Wilson outlines his Fourteen Points, a statement of principles to be used in peace negotiations for World War I. Wilson was influenced by the Bahá’í Teachings in formulating these points; at least three Bahá’í volumes were known to be in the White House.[1]
- March: The British Military Administration of Palestine begins.
- September 18: General Edmund Allenby begins his last offensive against Haifa.
- September 23: The First Battle of Haifa: Control of ‘Akká is taken from the Ottomans by British and Indian cavalry. ‘Abdu’l-Bahá is freed.
- November 11: Armistice Day; World War I ends with the cessation of hostilities on the Western Front.
- December 23: At the request of Shoghi Effendi, Mírzá Aḥmad Sohráb departs the Holy Land to deliver the Tablets of the Divine Plan to America.[2]
