Nasru’lláh Amíní (1915 - May 16, 1982) was a Persian Bahá’í who was martyred in Iran.
Biography[edit]
Amíní was born into a Bahá’í family in the village of Korougan in 1915. He was sent to Tehran in 1925 to receive an education and in 1940 he was given the responsibility of managing properties in Khaniabad which belonged to a Bahá’í. He settled in Khaniabad where he was elected to the Local Spiritual Assembly and served on the body for almost five decades.[1]
On October 12, 1981, Amíní's home was raided by Revolutionary Guards and he was arrested on October 25 and imprisoned alongside fellow Bahá’í Sa‘du’lláh Bábázádih in the Central Komiteh building. They were released the next day but ordered to return the following day and when they returned they were arrested and taken to Evin Prison in Tehran. His family was not permitted to visit him until three months later. On May 16, 1982, Amíní was executed with his family not being informed of his passing for five days. His body was not returned to his family for burial.[1]
