The National Spiritual Assembly of the Bahá’ís of Senegal is the national administrative body responsible for the Bahá’í community of Senegal.

History[edit]

In 1975 the National Spiritual Assembly of Upper West Africa changed its name to the National Spiritual Assembly of Senegal after the Gambia established an independent Assembly.[1][2] Initially the Assembly was responsible for administrating the Bahá’í communities of Mauritania, Guinea-Bissau and the Cape Verde Islands in addition to the community of Senegal.[3]

Mauritania formed an independent Assembly in 1978, the Cape Verde Islands formed an independent Assembly in 1984, and Guinea-Bissau formed an independent Assembly in 1989.[4]
