The National Spiritual Assembly of the Bahá’ís of the Indian Ocean was the administrative body for several islands in the region of the Indian Ocean.

Formed[edit]

The National Spiritual Assembly of the Indian Ocean was established in 1964 with its seat in Port Louis. It administrated Mauritius, the Malagasy Republic (now Madagascar), Réunion Island, the Seychelles Islands, the Comoros Islands and the Chagos Archipelago.[1]

The Assembly disbanded and independent Assemblies of Réunion, the Seychelles, Madagascar and Mauritius were established in 1972.[2]
