Seewoosumbur Jeehoba Appa (1912 - 1981) was a Mauritian Bahá’í who served as a Continental Counsellor.

Background[edit]

Appa was from an orthodox Hindu background and became a Bahá’í in 1956. He began hosting many Bahá’í activities and was elected to the first Local Spiritual of Vacoas, his hometown. In 1964 he was elected to the inaugural National Spiritual Assembly of the Indian Ocean as treasurer. Later the same year he was appointed as an Auxiliary Board member, and he served in that role until 1968 when he was appointed to the Continental Board of Counsellors for Southern Africa.

He served as Counsellor until the Continental Boards of Africa were merged into a single body in 1980. In 1981 he accompanied Shidan Fat'he-Aazam on a visit to Madagascar. He passed away that year.
