  • 1939: The remains of Navváb and Mírzá Mihdí are laid in state in the Shrine of the Báb.
  • 1951: Shoghi Effendi appoints a first contingent of twelve Hands of the Cause: Dorothy Baker, Amelia Collins, 'Ali-Akbar Furutan, Ugo Giachery, Hermann Grossmann, Horace Holley, Leroy Ioas, William Sutherland Maxwell, Tarazu'llah Samandari, George Townshend, and Valíyu'lláh Varqá.
  • 1986: The Indian House of Worship in New Delhi (also known as the Lotus Temple) is dedicated.
