  • 1853: Mírzá Muhammad ‘Alí, half-brother of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá, is born. He would later become known as the Arch-breaker of the Covenant of Bahá'u'lláh.
  • 2006: The Supreme Administrative Council of Egypt rules that the government may not recognize the Bahá’í Faith in official identification cards.
