Ann Vickers (19th January, 1950 - ) is an author and compiler specialising in clear, simple, introductory materials on the Bahá’í Faith. She served for some years on the Board of the Bahá’í Publishing Trust, United Kingdom, and worked voluntarily as an editor and compiler. In the late 1980s, a combination of circumstances led to a gradual unavailability of Bahá’í leaflets in Britain, and it was Ann Vickers who proposed that the Warwick Bahá’í Bookshop should begin the production of leaflets, with the intention of ensuring that each title would automatically be reprinted when stocks were depleted, so that basic introductory Bahá’í literature would always be available. One of her earliest leaflets was "The Bahá’í Faith - What Is It?", which has been universally regarded as a reliable and carefully-worded introduction to the Bahá’í Faith. She was the designer of the "world and star" logo, which has become the logo of the Warwick Bookshop. Together with her husband, Patrick Vickers ("Paddy"), she went on to produce a series of over sixty Warwick Leaflets, which can be ordered by post or downloaded. During late 2016, the number of these leaflets sold passed the one million mark, counting only those copies printed in the United Kingdom. Over 250,000 were printed in the United States, and others in Australia, Malaysia, etc. Among many others, Ann wrote the popular introductory leaflet, "The Bahá'í Faith - What Is It?", referred to above. Over three hundred thousands of this one leaflet have been sold. She also wrote the leaflets "Bicentenary of the Birth of Bahá'u'lláh - Founder of the Bahá'í Faith" and "Bicentenary of the Birth of the Báb". In recent years, Ann has begun producing Power Point Presentations suitable for schools to use during study of the Bahá'í Faith. She also worked on the 2016 website for BREA (Bahá’í Religious Education Agency). Ann also played a major part in the production of a series of quizzes on the internet, begun by a non-Bahá'í commercial enterprise.
In recent years, she has produced sets of posters in electronic formats, for general introduction to the Faith, for the Bicentenary of the Birth of Bahá’u’lláh and for the Bicentenary of the Birth of the Báb.
In 2019, she produced a PowerPoint Presentation on the Báb for the BREA website, and added Helena Hastie's short play on the life of Ṭáhirih connected with the PowerPoint.
Born in Birmingham, England, she attended secondary school in Solihull, and worked in the computer industry as a systems analyst.
Ann was for some years a member of the Training Institute for England, which was subsequently replaced by a single Training Institute for the Bahá'ís of the United Kingdom. She has one daughter and four grandchildren.
