Helena Hastie (4th June, 1979 - ) is a British Bahá’í who has written a set of short booklets on the lives of the Central Figures of the Bahá’í Faith, designed to acquaint the enquirer or the casual reader with the sufferings and tribulations of these holy souls. She also played a leading role in bringing the original version of the quiz game Spiritual Pursuit into production, and in developing and producing the second edition of the game.
Born in 1979 and raised in a Bahá’í family, Helena went to university in London, following a Year of Service in South Africa. She became a member of the Auxiliary Board, and was for a time the national co-ordinator for both children's classes and Junior Youth Groups in Britain. She and her husband set up several small businesses, primarily retailing children's clothes and maternity clothing. She is now the proprietor of a small book-keeping business. She has a B.Sc. in the Philosophy, History and Social Studies of Science, an M.Sc. in the Public Understanding of Environmental Change and an M.Sc. in International Development. For a time she served as a provider of distance learning for FUNDAEC. This led to her becoming Secretary for the Bahá’í Agency for Social and Economic Development (U.K.), a body for which she is a Trustee, and still undertakes work. She currently resides in Devon, England, with her husband and four children.
