  • February 25: A man is sentenced to death in Iran because he is a Bahá'í.[2]
  • May 25: The UN special representative for Human Rights lodged a complaint with the Iranian government over the persecution of the Bahá’ís.[2]
  • August 12: The Middle East Negotiation Initiative reports that systemic discrimination is taking place in employment of Bahá’ís in Iran.[2]
  • September 24: Human Rights Watch asks the Iranian government to stop persecuting Bahá’ís.[2]
