Wellspring of Guidance

Wellspring of Guidance: Messages from the Universal House of Justice, 1963-1968 is a compilation of messages from the Universal House of Justice published in 1969 by the Bahá’í Publishing Trust of the United States.
It was followed by a sequel compilation Messages from the Universal House of Justice, 1968-1973 published in 1976.[1] Both volumes have been superseded by the publication Messages from the Universal House of Justice, 1963-1986 published in 1996.[2]
Background[edit]
The publication collects major messages sent by the Universal House of Justice from its establishment in April 1963 to October 1968. Topics covered include the Nine Year Plan,[3] the development of the institutions of the Faith, and the Intercontinental Conferences held in the period covered. It was published with a preface by the National Spiritual Assembly of the United States.[4]
All but eight of the messages compiled were addressed to the National Spiritual Assemblies of the international Bahá’í community or to the Bahá’ís of the world. Two were messages addressed to the Bahá’í youth of the world and three were addressed to Conferences. The other three messages were a message to a specific National Spiritual Assembly and two addressed to individuals which were published with the special permission of the Universal House of Justice due to their relevance to the Bahá’í community as a whole.[3]
