The Challenging Requirements of the Present Hour is a thirty-four page letter written by Shoghi Effendi addressed to the National Spiritual Assembly of the United States and Canada which details the needs and challenges of the second Seven Year Plan.

It was published by the National Spiritual Assembly of the U.S. and Canada in 1947 and was included in the 1965 compilation Citadel of Faith.
