Talk:Science
In my opinion this topic page needs a fundamental re-write. I have added a few paragraphs in the section "Scientific statements by the founders" outlining the gist of the POV which I think needs to be woven through much of the other sections of the page. For instance, all of the talk about "missing link" and "always a distinct species" are nonsense scientifically when taken literally reading the terms with their modern meanings. On the other hand, they make perfect sense when understood as statements framed within the discourse of the day, not about the science, but instead about the spiritual condition and significance of man within creation.
I would love to have some consultations about this before I dive in and do some wholesale editing.

- Thanks so much for contributions to the page. I definitely agree that article would greatly benefit from a big rework. Most of the bahaipedia articles on topics like this one are from way back in 2008 and haven't really been touched since so a revamp is probably quite overdue. My personal thoughts are that it would be good to try and avoid too much editorializing and interpretation, and try to keep to direct quotes from the Writings, and citing published works by authors when referencing opinions, so as to avoid any risk of controversy (although I fully recognize my personal view that bahaipedia should basically be a repository of citations is probably more extreme than others, so I hope more contribute their views for a good survey of how people feel overall!).
