Kansas City, Michigan

[edit]

Sarah,

The article on Kansas City, Michigan should be titled, Kansas City, Missouri. The referred to article in Bahá'í News refers to Missouri. I do not know how to correct the title.

Markup Commands

[edit]

Sarah,

I realize that I have been editing the article "Bahaipedia:Namespace" with incorrect information. I believe it is important information that is not fully available. In correcting this, I would like to create an article titled "Bahaipedia:Markup Commands", "Help:Markup Commands", or by a title of your choice. This could be accomplished with a main article titled as suggested and sub articles for each major topic.

I know there are some pages out there including:

I know there are probably others I have not found but they may be hard to find individually. Any help would be welcome.

I would be creating additional pages such as:

  • Bahaipedia:Infobox
  • Bahaipedia:Imaage or File insertion
  • Etc.

Let me know your thoughts on this project.

Markup Commands

[edit]

In further researching the suggestion above I was able to find much more information. I am trying to understand the full organization of it. I am still open to working on the project but much of it is already out there. Any comments are welcome.

Hi Sarah,

I noticed in the default skin the wikilinks appear in a very pale magenta color that makes them practically indistinguishable from the surrounding text. Is this deliberate, or if not, could it be changed so that in a cursory view of the text the relevant links are more easily noticed? --Ernobe (talk) 13 Oct 2026 19:33 (UTC) 15:33, 13 October 2026 (EDT)

Hi Ernobe, there are two colors for wikilinks, blue (you haven't visited that page yet: #0645ad) and purple (you have clicked on the link: #663366) are you talking about the latter color? For reference wikipedia uses #6a60b0 for "visited" which is a bit lighter than we use, if you think that's a better color I don't mind switching to it. Sarah (talk) 16:43, 13 October 2026 (EDT)
In other skins and Wikipedia, the text is bolder, so lighter link colors are more noticeable. Maybe a bolder text is not suitable for the present skin, I don't know, but unless you make the links bright red or something it's probably the only option. --Ernobe (talk) 13 Oct 2026 21:30 (UTC) 17:30, 13 October 2026 (EDT)
I'd like to add that it looks like dark mode is the default, which does make the links brighter than in light mode. In general it's the better mode for just reading articles, though in some tables the background color is too bright for the text and links, or for example in the editing window I'm using now the "advanced" "special characters" and "help" links above are in a dark blue that's too dark. --Ernobe (talk) 15 Oct 2026 01:55 (UTC) 21:55, 14 October 2026 (EDT)
Dark mode is a work in progress, I've got a to-do list with a lot of fixes so I'll add those to it also, thanks. I'll explore improving the colors once I have some time. Sarah (talk) 17:04, 15 October 2026 (EDT)
