Parvíz Fírúzí

Parvíz Fírúzí (April 5, 1942 - July 29, 1981) was a Persian Bahá’í who was martyred in Iran.

Dr Parviz Firouzi was born into a Bahá’í family in Tabriz in 1942 and his father was Ridá Fírúzí. The family moved to Ahar when he was six months old where he was raised and completed elementary school. He moved to Tabriz to complete High School then completed studies in Pharmaceutical Medicine at Tabriz University.[1]
Dr Firouzi was an active member of the Tabriz Bahá’í community being appointed as an assistant to the Auxiliary Board member and being elected to the Local Spiritual Assembly in 1979. On July 29, 1980, he was arrested alongside other members of the Assembly and imprisoned. His father visited him in prison and was ultimately arrested and then executed on November 9, 1980. Dr Firouzi was also executed on July 29, 1981, alongside eight fellow Bahá’ís.[1]
