Paris is the capital city of France. The first Bahá’í in Paris was May Bolles, who had resided there since since 1889. In 1898 she discovered the message of Bahá’u’lláh and traveled to ‘Akká where she met ‘Abdu’l-Bahá. On returning to Paris she founded the first Bahá’í community not only in France, but in all of Europe.[1]
‘Abdu’l-Bahá visited the city during His journeys to the West, staying in an apartment close to the Eiffel Tower. The talks He gave during His visit were collected and published in the book Paris Talks.[1]
