Orinda is a city in the U.S. State of California located in Contra Costa county.
History[edit]
As of 1974 Auxiliary Board member Nura Ioas was living in Orinda.[1] In 1977 the Bahá’í communities of Walnut Creek and Danville held an Educational Awards Dinner at which they presented awards to the principal and three teachers from Glorietta Elementary School in Orinda.[2]
In 1989 the Local Spiritual Assembly of Orinda was established and the community held a celebration of World Religion Day to also celebrate the formation of the Assembly.[3][4] In 2019 the Local Spiritual Assembly of Orinda organized celebrations of the Bicentenary of the Birth of the Báb screening the film The Gate as part of its commemorations.[5]
