Formed[edit]

The National Spiritual Assembly of Central America was established in 1951 as the National Spiritual Assembly of Central America, Mexico and the Antilles.[1] The Assembly was incorporated as a Religious Body of International Character in Panama in 1952.[2] The Assembly operated under the guidance of the National Spiritual Assembly of the United States until becoming fully independent in 1953.[3]

In 1957 the jurisdiction of the Assembly changed to cover Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala and Mexico, as a new National Spiritual Assembly of the Antilles was formed to assume administration of the Faith in several countries that had been administrated by the Central America Assembly.[4] As of 1957 the Assembly was called the National Spiritual Assembly of Central America and Mexico,[5] and from 1958 it was called the National Spiritual Assembly of Central America, Mexico, and Panama.[6]

The Assembly was disbanded in 1961, and replaced with independent Assemblies for its constituent Countries.[7]
