Afemata Moli Chang (October 9, 1941 - June 16, 2016)[1] was a Samoan Bahá'í who served as a Continental Counselor for Australasia for nine years.
Background[edit]
As of 1984 Chang was serving as an Auxiliary Board member in Samoa and that year he attended a Rural Development Conference at Lelata.[2] He was appointed as a Continental Counselor by the Universal House of Justice in 1990 for a five year term, and appointed for a second five year term in 1995.
Chang was a traditional High Chief of Samoa, and in 1992 as part of a teaching project in Vanuatu he re-enacted the landing of his ancestors at Port Resolution, presenting the Faith.[3] In 1997 he visited Vanuatu again to teach the Faith, meeting with the Chief of Melli on the island of Efate and speaking in several villages.[4]
In 1999 Chang retired from the Continental Board for Australasia, one year before the end of his second term.[5]
