William "Bill" E. Davis III is an American Bahá’í who served on the National Spiritual Assembly of the United States.
Background[edit]
Davis worked for the Peace Corps serving as a Regional Representative and Acting Deputy Director in Chile from 1968 to 1971. He began working in the legal field as an Administrative Director of the Courts of Kentucky in 1975 serving until 1979 when he moved to Haifa where he volunteered as a Personnel and Organization Officer for the World Center until 1981.[1]
In 1981 Davis began working as Circuit Executive for federal courts in the Ninth Circuit serving in the role until 1986 when he became Administrative Director of the Courts of California serving until 1992.[1] In 1985 he was elected to the National Spiritual Assembly of the United States serving until 2007. In 1992 he cofounded the law firm DPK Consulting.[2]
Davis has been honored for his achievements in his professional career being inducted into the University of Kentucky College of Law Hall of Fame in 2000 and being awarded the National Center for Race Amity Medal of Honor in 2016. Since 2010 he has served as President of the Esperanza Foundation.[1]
