Nasser-al-Din Shah[edit]

(July 16, 1831 - May 1, 1896) (Persian: ناصرالدین شاه قاجار transliteration: Nāṣiri’d-Dīn Shāh Qājār)The Shah of Iran during the years of the Bab and Bahá'u'lláh he also martyred many Babi's and Bahai's including the young Badi.During the Shah's early years of reign,1 million Iranians became Babi's and due to the fact started to martyr many Babi's including the rather young Tahirih. 20,000 men women and children were martyred all together in all types of cruel and painful ways. The Shah killed the Babi's purely because the mulla's told him so because they were frightened that they would take of iran (which the Babi movement would never have done)

Prince Mihdí-Qulí Mírzá[edit]

Very little is written about this Qajar Prince however he was the Prince who claimed to Quddus that he would swear on the Quran, that he would not attack the men at Shaykh Tabarsi if they subbmited by dropping their weopons and Quddus agreed, however once the men did this The army plundered and destroyed the fort, and then opened fire on the Bábís, killing them all.

"I swear by this most holy Book, by the righteousness of God who has revealed it, and the Mission of Him who was inspired with its verses, that I cherish no other purpose than to promote peace and friendliness between us. Come forth from your stronghold and rest assured that no hand will be stretched forth against you. You yourself and your companions, I solemnly declare, are under the sheltering protection of the Almighty, of Muhammad, His Prophet, and of Násiri’d-Dín Sháh, our sovereign. I pledge my honour that no man, either in this army or in this neighbourhood, will ever attempt to assail you. The malediction of God, the omnipotent Avenger, rest upon me if in my heart I cherish any other desire than that which I have stated." (The Dawn-Breakers, pg 399)
