My real name is Claudia and I come from the Netherlands. I live in a small village in the province South-Holland, which is called Hillegom. Hillegom covers an area of 13.48 km2 of which 0.612 is water. My hometowns name derived from the abbey Hijlighem (Old Frankisch for: Holy Home). Noteworthy is that Hillegom is situated in "de Duin en Bollenstreek" ("Dune and Bulb region).
About me, I am twenty years old and I am a student now. I am studying history (second year), but I also follow some subjects about the world religions. I am really interested in the different religions of the world. In that way I heard about the Bahá'í faith. This belief attracted me from the beginnin and I wanted to convert quickly, but others said that I could better read more about Bahá'í and important persons. I did, but I still converted on July the ninth, the martyrdom of the Báb.
I read a lot, but I have more hobbies:
- chess
- writing stories
- commission work for Diversity (my studentclub)
- going to my studentclubs (I am member of three)
- going to bahá'í-meetings
- cycling
- going to churches, synagogues, mosques etc.
I live in a family which consists of six persons. My father (Cas), my mother (Hélène), my older brother (Richard), my younger sister (Julia) and my younger brother (Simon). My mother is volunteer by Vluchtelingenwerk Nederland (that's an organization which helps refugees). She has made me always aware of the bad circumstances in the world (Netherlands) and consequence was that I got the wish to change the world...
By the way, on this site I am calling myself Niyoosha. This means listener and lots op people say I can listen very well!
