Background[edit]
In 2005 Scrine began serving as the Convener of the Australian Forum of Human Rights Organisations, a voluntary position which involved fostering networking and collaboration amongst over fifty Non-Governmental Organizations.[1] She was elected to the National Spiritual Assembly of Australia in 2006 and by 2008 she was serving as an official spokesperson for the Australian Bahá’í community,[2] and became Executive Officer for Government Relations for the Bahá’í community in Australia.[3]
As of 2010 Scrine's fulltime position was serving as the director of the Australian Bahá’í Community's Office of External Affairs based in Canberra and in November that year she was appointed as a Counselor by the Universal House of Justice for a five year term.[4] She was reappointed in 2015 and appointed as Trustee of the Continental Fund for Australasia,[5] and reappointed as Counselor and Trustee again in 2020.[6]
