This is a base template for articles about years, decades and centuries within the Common Era (CE). It is used by templates such as {{Year nav}}, {{Decadebox}} and {{Centurybox}}.

Usage

The template may be called in the following way:

{{Gregorian nav|date|type}}

The template requires two parameters:

• date: A string representing the date for which navigation links are required.
• type: One of year, decade, or century. Determines the type of time period represented by date.

Note: This template is hardcoded not to display any time periods earlier than 1750, i.e. the beginning of the 1750s decade, the decade of Shaykh Ahmad's birth. The rationale is that, since Shaykh Ahmad is considered the earliest figure having direct relevance to Bahá'í history, it is unlikely that Bahaipedia will need individual articles for any years prior. This also prevents earlier years from showing up in the Special:WantedPages list.
