Talk:The Báb

The wikipedia article is not perfect I am sure, but we need something here for such and important figure, so I am importing it just to get something up as a basis. Gerald 11:07, 7 August 2007 (MDT)

Update needed for factual error[edit]

I tried to edit a factual error in this article on the Báb, but it would not give me permission to do so. How does one get permission to edit? Meanwhile, I'll post here what needs to be fixed. Currently, under the sub-section "Declaration to Mullá Ḥusayn" it says: "Soon after he arrived in Shiraz, on May 23, 1844, Mullá Ḥusayn was approached by a young man wearing a green turban, an indication that the wearer was a descendent of the Prophet Muḥammad. The stranger, the Báb, invited Mullá Ḥusayn to His home." I suggest it be reworded to correct the facts to something like: "Soon after he arrived in Shiraz on the evening of May 22, 1844, Mullá Ḥusayn was approached by the Báb whom he knew from when they had met in Karbilá. The Báb invited Mullá Ḥusayn to His home."[1] Thanks to whoever will input this. (I suppose info regarding the Báb's green turban can be easily worked into the earlier part of the page.) Cheers!
