About Alfred (stories to fill in the picture):

Cause of death:
Recently, I saw that an automobile accident (reported in a local newspaper - recently digitized) had occurred in New York state in May of 1937. Clarence, brother of Alfred, was driving one of the cars. Clarence's wife was with them. Alfred and others were injured. Need to look further into this. Knowing the times and the state of medical practice, his demise would then be attributed to the carnage brought by the automobile and high speed travel which continues to today. Too, even a minor injury can result in major infection. Mention is being made since this can be researched more thoroughly with the proper effort in obtaining sources. And, the story pertains to civilization's development, especially from the American view. Alfred has a pedigree (research being done here - Alfred at WikiTree) that goes back to early New England and further. JMSwtlk (talk) 16:27, 2 November 2019 (PDT)
Alfred and Ober
Alfred had an Ober grandmother, on his father's side. Too, he is in the photo from 1912 taken at Green Acre with his wife, oldest daughter, and in-laws (and friends and cousins - I expect to look at each of those families, given the time): Up and down. One quote from a letter that he received from the Master is quite significant with regard to daily struggles. JMSwtlk (talk) 16:46, 2 November 2019 (PDT)
Thanks for providing this!, will incorporate into article if I get the time. Will let smkolins know about this as well (he is extremely thorough with combing through old American newspapers, although I think he is working on a Lua Getsinger article at the moment). smkolins clipped this (Middletown Times Herald - 26 May 1937, pg 11 - accident was in Newburgh, intersection of Robinson Ave and North Plank - Robinson Ave is Hwy 9W). I hadn't used the report since I had not checked it out, as of yet, but was going to make up a map; did do a little Google map reviewing. Clarence was a publisher. One of Alfred's daughters, Elizabeth Blake (Lunt) Shamey Toomes, started the English School in Columbia. She was on the NSA (Betty Toomes) of Colombia. We need to make that connection. I saw, at least, one photo where someone wrote, who dat? It was a meeting of Baha'is in South America. So, we don't want to see her forgotten. Alfred at Green Acre in 1912
Alfred is #87 in Panel 1. His wife, Mildred Kallen Lunt, is #74, same Panel. His eldest daughter, Ruth Ladd Lunt Gardner is #5. Some who were ther are not identified. For those identified, though, we can link to more information. Thornton Chase, cousin of Alfred, was not there.JMSwtlk (talk) 08:06, 17 March 2020 (PDT)
